Academia

I have been associated with the academic side of engineering and science for ten years, mostly as a professor at the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs.  Teaching our young cadets about electrical engineering and also about life in general has been wonderful.  I have also learned much from them about what it's like to be a young person in today's world.  A list of the courses I taught, designed, or otherwise worked with can be found here.

The academic side of academia is more about research and publications.  The Air Force Academy does not stress these two areas anywhere near as much as most traditional universities but those faculty with motivation are certainly not discouraged.  My research time was primarily focused on renewable energy and power systems.
