Teaching and Advising

I have always enjoyed teaching whether its been in the classroom or on the soccer field.  I was brought to USAFA specifically to teach semiconductors, circuits, and electronics.  A list of courses can be found in the academia section along with my publications and research interests.   In addition to basic teaching, I took every opportunity to perform advising and related duties.  A summar follows:

2003 – 2013:  United States AIr Force Academy

  • Taught numerous contemporary classroom style courses including freshman engineering.
  • Course directed several courses including power and electronics.
  • Led senior capstone group design projects.
  • Seminar facilitator for offsite senior day sessions.
  • Academic advisor for 3-4 electrical/computer engineering cadets each year.
  • Academic advisor for freshmen squadrons of about 20 students until they declared an academic major.
  •
