Military

I served with the United States Air Force from 1984 to 2009, retiring from active duty while stationed at the United States Air Force Academy.  During my active duty time, I held many different positions located in many different regions of the world.  An abbreviated history is given below for a quick reference.

2003 – 2009: Assistant professor of electrical engineering at the United States Air Force Academy.  Instructional/educational details can be found on my "Academia" page.  Additional military duties included positions as "Executive Officer" and "Personnel Officer". 

2000 – 2003:  National Security Agency (NSA), Maryland.  91 Intelligence Squadron Executive officer followed and developmental engineer designing encryption chips. 

Oct 1996:  Comissioned a 2dLt in the United States AIr Force. Maxwell AFB, Montgomery Alabama.

1996 – 2000:  Air Force Research Laboratory at the Rome Research Site (RRS) in New York.  Developmental engineer designing the layout and logic for multi-processor interface chips.  These chips would later be used in the navigation part of an interceptor missile.

1993 – 1996:  Clemson University, Clemson South Carolina.  Sponsored by the USAF to complete my BS in Computer Engineering.

1987 – 1993:  Nellis AFB, Las Vegas Nevada.  Communications security officer.  Radar countermeasures, radio communications, fiber optics network installation. 

1986 – 1987:  Osan AFB, Republic of Korea.  Radio Countermeasures Trainer.  Communications Security.

1984 – 1987:  Brooks AFB, San Antonio Texas.  Communications security and training.
