Software and Protocls
Although software packages evolve and hopefully improve over time, the general concepts and ideas remain seem to remain unchanged.
I have worked with the following software packages and platforms. The most recent ones are at the top of the list.
- MATLAB – Extensive use during PhD for performance modeling
- COMSOL – Some use during PhD
- PHP/HTML – Personal web pages
-
Academic (as instructor)
- C#, C++ – Limited at Air Force Academy
- SPICE – Extensiver use for analog and digital circuit simulation of lab circuits
-
EDA
- VHDL/Verilog – Extensive use at NSA and AFRL for state machine design, chip design, and verification
- Mentor Graphics – Chip Design at NSA
- Modelsim – Platform for VHDL at AFRL
- Magic and IRSIM – Physical Layout and verification at AFRL
- Synopsis – Synthesis at AFRL
- Eagle, Limited use for board design (etching)
