Programming
Over the years, I've picked up a lot of languages and more importantly a general understanding of how programming works. Programming is sort of like playing music. Once you know the music side, learning an instrument is nothing more than learning the particular techniques – the core music is already present. With programming, you just have to undertand there are things like variable types, language syntax, and program flows to be able to do whatever it is that you need to do.
Anyhow, here is a list of some of the languages I've used in the past.
VHDL – During my assignments at the Air Force Research Lab, Rome NY, and also at the National Security Agency, I became extremely familiary with the hardware description language VHDL. Model Technology. Mentor Graphics.
Verilog – While I never had a formal use for this particular language, I amn familiar with its structure and syntax. Cadence.
C, C+, C++, C# – So many variants of arguably the most widely used language around. I began learning C while an undergraduate at UNLV in the late 80s and have used it here and there ever since.
MATLAB – I used this program and its scripting capabilities for the majority of my dissertation.
HTML, PHP, JAVA, CSS – I've used many internet, or web based, languages and scripts over the years with my web pages designs and have seen numerous software programs come and go. Currently, my favorite web-page software is WordPress.
